Welcome to the Duntroon Community Centre (DCC) website. Here you will find information about upcoming events,
different groups and programs as well as forms and information sheets. The website is currently under construction and
will be regularly updated so please check back for updates.

Opened originally in 1981, the DCC has always offered Defence families a place to go for companionship and support.
The DCC became incorporated in May 1992 and the Playschool program started soon after. Moving to our current
location in July 2003, the DCC of today is a fabulous facility (located on the grounds of RMC Duntroon) which offers a
diverse array of programs and activities, available to both military and civilian families

DCC OBJECTIVES
* Support and resource the development of social networks and common interest groups in the Canberra area
* Provide basic infrastructure from which other community and family oriented projects can be initiated and operated
* To encourage local residents to participate in community activities and
* Provide the opportunity for community endeavour in the fields of craft, education and family care

To participate in DCC programs and activities, you must be a DCC member.

The DCC is a not-for-profit organisation which receives minimal funding for specific areas only from other sources. As
such, fundraising activities are held throughout the year.

MEMBERSHIP
To participate in DCC programs and activities, you must be a DCC member. Membership is based on a calendar year at
a cost of $15. Membership extends to your immediate family.

The Membership form can be downloaded here. Once completed, please drop or mail the hardcopy in to DCC, together
with payment.

NEWSLETTER
DCC produces a newsletter once or twice a term. In 2010, this will be predominately electronic.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
A voluntary committee manages the DCC. All members are encouraged to offer their services as a member on the
Management Committee and all members are invited to attend committee meetings held each month. Fresh faces and
fresh ideas are an important part in keeping the DCC an interesting and exciting place to be part of.
